FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a Vintage Glow candle different?
Every Vintage Glow candle begins with a vintage vessel selected for its beauty, character, and ability to be given a new life. From carnival and pressed glass to milk glass, crystal, and other distinctive finds, each piece carries a history of its own.
We pair these vessels with thoughtfully selected fragrances to create something that is both candle and object—designed to create atmosphere while burning and remain part of your home long after the last glow.
Are your vessels really vintage?
Yes. Our vessels are sourced vintage pieces, which means age, maker, and history will vary. Whenever we can identify a maker, pattern, approximate era, or other history of a piece, you'll find that information in its product description.
Because these pieces have lived a life before reaching us, minor variations or signs of age may be present. We think that's part of their character.
Will my candle look exactly like the one pictured?
Yes. When purchasing a one-of-a-kind piece, the vessel pictured is the vessel you will receive. For sets or collections containing matching vintage pieces, natural variations in color, pattern, or finish may occur and will be noted when appropriate.
Why are some Vintage Glow candles one of a kind?
Vintage sourcing isn't manufacturing. Sometimes we discover multiples of the same pattern or vessel; sometimes we find only one. Once a one-of-a-kind piece is sold, we may never find another exactly like it.
That's part of what makes finding your Vintage Glow piece special.
Why does my soy candle sometimes look frosted?
Frosting—the white or crystalline appearance that can sometimes develop on soy wax—is a natural characteristic of the wax and does not affect the quality, fragrance, or performance of your candle. Changes in temperature can make frosting more noticeable.
Why is there oil or moisture on the surface of my candle?
Temperature changes, particularly during shipping or warm weather, can occasionally cause small amounts of fragrance oil to appear on the surface of soy wax. This generally does not affect the candle's performance. Gently blot any excess with a paper towel before lighting.
How should I burn my Vintage Glow candle?
Because our candles are housed in vintage vessels, proper candle care is especially important. Keep the wick trimmed to approximately ¼ inch, never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from drafts and flammable materials, and discontinue burning when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

What can I do with my vessel after the candle is finished?
That's one of our favorite parts.
Once your candle has reached the end of its burn life, the remaining wax can be carefully removed and the vessel repurposed as décor, storage, a catchall, or simply enjoyed as the beautiful piece of vintage glass it was before becoming a candle.
Can my Vintage Glow candle be refilled?
Yes. Our vintage vessels are meant to be enjoyed beyond their first burn. Refill options are available for eligible Vintage Glow vessels so you can continue enjoying your piece with a new fragrance.
How will my vintage glass candle be shipped?
Each piece is carefully packaged with the unique nature of vintage glass in mind. Once your order ships, you'll receive tracking information by email.
